The good mood of Ghanaians over the Christian Atsu saga has just been turned sour once again after his agent said the footballer is still missing.
According to Nana Sechere, the agent of Christian Atsu, they are unable to confirm the footballer’s whereabouts.
In a statement, he said they have searched a host of hospitals and are still unable to locate the former Ghana international after news broke Tuesday that he’d been found.
“Following yesterday’s update from the club that Christian had been pulled out alive, we are yet to confirm Christian’s whereabouts.
“As you can imagine, this continues to be a devastating time for his family and we are doing everything we can to locate Christian.
“Official updates will be provided as more information comes to light. Please respect the families privacy during this harrowing time, and refrain from spreading unsubstantiated news as this will only hamper the search efforts for Christian.
“Thank you for all your prayers and support.” his statement read.
The shocking news comes after the manager of Atsu club Hatayspor, Mustafa Ózat confirmed Atsu had been found with injuries.
“Christian Atsu was removed with injuries. Unfortunately, our sporting director Taner Savut is still under the rubble.” he said.

He added after some time: “I just had another meeting. Christian Atsu was taken to hospital with injuries.”
Meanwhile, Ghana’s ambassador to Turkey, Francisca Ashitey-Odunton, insists Atsu’s been found but cannot be located due to the confusion of the moment.
“We’re yet to establish contact with Christian Atsu because of the confusion around but we know he’s been pulled out of the rubble and sent to the hospital”. she said Wednesday morning.
