Social media users have turned on dancehall king, Shatta Wale, after claiming that Ghana is now the gateway to Africa.
Wale was jubilating over the myriad of events occurring in Ghana this holiday season.
Aside from the events which feature artistes not only from Ghana but the rest of Africa and the world, there are a large number of diasporans who also return every year to spend the holidays in good old Ghana.
It’s not an exaggeration to say Ghana is the hub of entertainment during the holidays and it is a consequence of the ‘year of return’ campaign.
Shatta Wale, who is constantly negative about everything, finally expressed happiness over something.
He jubilated over Ghana becoming the hub of entertainment in Africa and said we’re now the gateway.
“Ghana is the gateway ampa. I am so happy that everyone is in my country. Peaceful place with small witches who don’t have power,” he said.
Netizens were quick to remind him that he’s always been negative in the past and trashed Ghanaians to foreigners when he got the chance to promote the country instead.
“You busily saying Ghana is a village when sark was asking them to come in 2019. Hypocrisy,” one angry fan lamented.
