Former Black Stars striker, Prince Tagoe, has been remanded into police custody for two weeks after allegedly duping an assistant coach of the Black Stars, George Boateng.
Boateng, a former Netherlands international currently working with the Stars, reportedly gave Tagoe $40,000 to import a Lexus for him after Tagoe claimed to be a car dealer.
After taking the money, the former Hearts of Oak striker could not deliver the car.
Despite failing to import the car, Tagoe did not pay Boateng his money either!
Boateng paid Tagoe the money in January 2021. He promised to deliver the car by end of March but failed to do so. Subsequent attempts by Boateng to retrieve the money failed.
The case was reported to the police who arrested Tagoe and arraigned him before court.
Consequently, the judge has adjourned the case till January 4th 2022 and remanded Prince Tagoe into custody, meaning he gets to spend the festive season behind bars!
