Bukom Banku Detained In Prison For Beating His Neighbour In Bukom

An Accra Circuit court has remanded popular Ghanaian personality Brima Kamoko aka Bukom Banku for reportedly stabbing a man.

Reports gathered from the prosecutor claim the Former Light Heavyweight champion teamed up with some friends to attack some individuals in Bukom on Friday, November 25th, 2022 at 5:30 pm.

The boxer and his son have been remanded in prison to reappear on Monday, 19th December for allegedly beating up a neighbor and stabbing him with a broken bottle.

The complainant, Ishmael Neequaye who is also a neighbor disclosed that he went outside to try and restore calm on Friday night when Bukom Banku and his friends were attacking individuals.

The prosecutor, continued by saying, Bukom Banku upon seeing Ishmael broke a bottle and gave it to his son identified as Mustapha to stab Ishmael.

The son of Bukom thrust the broken bottle into the abdomen of the complainant, who was later rushed to the Korle Bu teaching hospital.

Many attempts to arrest the boxer and his son fell on the rocks until they were served with a criminal summons from the court.

They pleaded not guilty in court but were denied bail by the presiding judge Justice Adelaide Abui Keddey and remanded in prison.
