The lawyer of Chairman Wontumi, Maurice Ampaw, has debunked news reports that Afia Schwarzenegger is now a free woman and would not serve a jail term any longer.
According to Ampaw, the bench warrant for Afia Schwarzenegger’s arrest has been lifted because her lawyer claims she’s sick.
The lawyer has also apparently promised to produce her in court on December 15th for a decision to be made on her sentence.

Ampaw told Wontumionline that any news Afia is a free woman should be disregarded.
Regarding her 10-day sentence, Ampaw said the lawyer pleaded for it to be suspended due to Afia’s alleged illness.
The trial judge agreed and referred the matter to the Attorney General for advice.
According to Ampaw, the judge would make the final decision next week when the case returns to court based on the Attorney General’s advice.
Comedienne Afia Schwar has a ten-day jail sentence hanging over her head after being convicted of contempt of court.

On Friday, December 9th 2022, A Plus took to social media to reveal the bench warrant for her arrest had been suspended.
Afia also corroborated it, thanking God and the judge for agreeing to her request.
