35-year-old teacher, Nicholas, has revealed in a TV3 report that his campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2020 general elections has left his life in danger.
According to Nicholas, who was seen on billboards across the country, his life is under constant threat as people accuse him of being part of the economic problems they are facing under the NPP.
The teacher cannot walk freely across the street unless he disguises himself with a nose mask and cap or stays home all day, he told TV3’s reporter Armstrong Alogbor.

He explains that the threat to his life comes in many forms, including calls.
“My major challenge is the threat. So any time I have to go out I have to put on the nose mask and sometimes a cap so that I have to disguise myself.
“Sometimes, I will be in the room, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday without going out because I am afraid if I step out I don’t know what will happen to me. The moment they see you they are angry and they want to beat you because you are part of the reasons why they are suffering. Sometimes they will call you and threaten you.
In the case where Nicholas is noticed, he must explain himself to convince his attackers, or has to run for his life.
“Sometimes my wife will [tell] me, when [I] am going and [I] have the money I should take Uber and go out.”
He further indicated that he was paid ¢300for the billboard advert he did for the party.
