The Ghana Football Association has announced October 21 and 23 as National Days of fasting and prayers for the Black Stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
An official artwork shared across all social media platforms mentioned Friday, October 21st as a fasting and prayer day for Muslims while Sunday, October 23rd for Christians.
These activations, according to the GFA, are aimed at creating awareness and to court public attention for the Black Stars with just about thirty-one days left for the World Cup to kick off in Doha, Qatar.
Other activities include walking and dinner with legends of Ghana football as well as Rep Your Jersey.
Ghana will open their World Cup account against Portugal before taking Uruguay and South Korea respectively.
With the group we find ourselves, we will need more than 24 hours of Prayers and Fasting, some Ghanaians opined on Twitter.
Others raised that 32 countries will battle it out for the covetous trophy the biggest soccer Mundial scheduled for November and December this year in Qatar and what Ghana could think off is prayers.
Here are some more reactions from Twitter.
