Black Sherif’s Debut Album Earns Him First ‘Billboard World Albums’ Entry

‘The Villian I Never Was’, an album from Ghanaian musician Black Sherif, has made its debut on the Billboard World Album Chart.

This is Black Sherif’s first project and the first Ghanaian album to make that feat in a long while.

On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the body of work debuted in the 12th position on the music chart behind Wizkid’s Made In Lagos album.

Fans and music consumers across the globe have shown their appreciation for the rapper’s album following its release on October 6.

The successful 14-tracked project only features Nigerian Afrobeats icon, Burna Boy on track 14, ‘Second Sermon Remix’, and has gathered huge streaming numbers on most digital platforms.

Not only is Blck Sherif appearing on world charts or blowing up streaming algorithms but he has also caught the attention of international award schemes as he has received two nominations in just a month.

He first got nominated for the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards for Best International Flow but lost it to a French rapper.

Not long ago, Blacko’s name was seen in the nominee’s list for the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards.

A flourishing artist is what you’ll call Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, better known within the showbiz space as Black Sherif. There is no doubt he is having a good run with his career.
