Indiana Jones Is Coming To The MCU – Harrison Ford Joins Cast Of Captain America: New World Order

Veteran actor Harrison Ford is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe when the next phase of movies come out beginning with Captain America: New World Order.

Deadline reported Ford’s inclusion into the franchise, news that has been brewing for some time.

The 80-year-old will take over the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, beginning with Phase 5 title Captain America: New World Order.

He replaces Oscar winner William Hurt, who has played the role in films ranging from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk through to 2021’s Black Widow. 

Hurt died in March, aged 71.

Captain America: New World Order would see Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson, who assumed the mantle of Captain America in Disney+’s hit series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The movie’s ensemble cast includes aside Ford and Mackie, Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson and Carl Lumbly.
