Rapper Sarkodie has grown his weight behind colleague musician Kirani Ayat to take legal actions against the president of Ghana and the government for using his song without consent.
Kirani Ayat burst out on Twitter yesterday when the President of Ghana’s official social media page shared a promotional video that contained excerpts of his music video.
He revealed the ministry did not reach out to him but used his intellectual properties at his blind side.

The rapper indicated in his tweet that he felt the government was taking him for a ride because they refused his work when he submitted his work in 2018/2019.
Reacting to the news, Sarkodie echoed how stressful it is to put out an original project and how frustrating it is to watch it being used for military purposes without your permission.
He wrote on Twitter to stand with Kirani Ayat in his decision to seek legal redress in the court of law.
“ We ( creatives ) do a lot to put our country out there, attracting a lot of tourists x investors that translates to money to help nation building yet that’s one sector with no support… I feel my brother and support him especially if he reached out and didn’t get help,” the tweet read.
Meanwhile the government of Ghana, through the Tourism Ministry, said they acquired the music video used in their promotional video through the right channel.
