Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel will be released from prison within the next few weeks, a new report has revealed.
Vybz Kartel was convicted by a Jamaican court of murdering Clive Williams. Williams’ body was never found and the dancehall star was convicted based on evidence from video and phone records.
Now his lawyer claims that the evidence has been discredited via a forensic audit they commissioned and MediaTakeOut claims Cartel might be released in the next few weeks.

According to the publication, the United Kingdom’s Privy Council will hear a fresh appeal for the dancehall superstar and he’s expected to be released – even as soon as a few weeks from now!
Speaking to Fox News, the artiste’s lawyer said there had been tampering and misrepresentation of evidence to fit the prosecution’s case.
“So when there is a gap in the footprint, for instance, the video did not have any GPS on it and all other videos on the phone had GPS, had the metadata and the epoch times in sequence,” Buchannan told the FOX network.
“Tampering or a misreporting of the time which was crucial, so the time was clearly changed to fit the prosecution’s case,” Buchanan added.
MediaTakeOut claims once released, the first order of business for the ‘Beg Me A F*ck’ hitmaker is to marry his girlfriend, Turkish beauty Sidem Öztürk.
Sidem is a British national and runs Vybz Kartel’s record label whilst he’s in jail.
