President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo, sparked varied reactions online over the weekend after disclosing a hidden desire for women from the Volta Region of Ghana.

According to many reports, Nana Addo’s show boy revealed intentions to go for a second wife from the Ewe land in Ghana.

Nana Addo made this know on a radio station in the Volta Region explaining that he has always dreamed of marrying from the land but he has not had the opportunity yet.

“You know my basic position that I’ve taken, and seeing you, of course, it’s heightened it: my determination to marry in the Volta Region, and I keep on knocking on the door, looking forward to the day the door will be open. We’ll keep on till the day the door is open,” The president of the said.

The joke from His Excellency has drawn mixed reactions online with Sam George and other personalities sharing their opinion.

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam George, said while he can testify to the sweetness of the Ayigbe Toffee ( women from the Volta Region ), he does not think marrying a second wife should be the president’s topmost priority.

“Hehehehehe! Addo Showboy nunu. I can testify about the Ayigbe Toffee but in these hard times, is a new wife Bossu’s top priority? Ah well! 🤷🏾‍♂️“ he tweeted.
