Following the news, Prince William, Prince Charles, and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are all heading to Balmoral Castle in Scotland to be by the queen’s side.
The queen’s other children, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward are also believed to be heading to Scotland to be with her.
New British Prime Minister Liz Truss also tweeted, “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime. My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
Queen Elizabeth is currently domiciled at her Castle in Scotland due to health issues.
Earlier this week, she met with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to accept his resignation and Liz Truss to offer her the job.
