“I Want To Be Like ‘Bandana’ When I Grow Up” – Social Media Digs Up 16-Year-Old Post Of Stonebwoy Wishing To Be Like Shatta Wale

Some mischievous social media users have dug up an old Facebook post dancehall artist Stonebwoy made and it has gotten a lot of people talking.

Stonebwoy, in the over 16 years old post, wished beyond his dreams to grow up and be like Shatta Wale who was then called Bandana.

The Facebook post dated 7th January 2006 had Stonebwoy drooling all over Shatta Wale’s success and praying to his maker to help him achieve such a feat in the music industry.

He stated that he would like to be like Banadana now Shatta Wale when he grows up. “I want to be like Bandana when I grow up. Up up. Bandana from Ghana”.

Shatta Wale has had his moments in the music industry before rebranding. He joined the music industry in 2004 with the name Bandana. He released some hit songs but disappeared from the scene for years only to return with a new identity, Shatta Wale the dancehall king.

Stonebwoy, who has also broken boundaries and is competing with the dancehall musician on the music market, was in senior high school when Shatta Wale released the hit track “Bandana from Ghana”.

The song made tremendous airwaves in the Ghanaian music industry in 2004.
