Princess Diana’s Old Ford Escort Car Sells for Over $750k at Auction

Princess Diana’s personal car fetched a lot of money following an auction at the Silverstone race track, a few miles outside of London.

The late Princess of Wales was a talking point in the United Kingdom, as her car in the 1980s sold for a stunning $763,555.

The Ford Escort, RS Turbo Series one, was in excellent condition, just like when the late princess drove it between 1985 and 1988.

Big rollers worldwide participated in a massive bidding war, but a British individual emerged victorious.

The auction was conducted in the style of a sporting event, with a big crowd cheering on the bidders.

According to reports, Silverstone authorities expected at least $117,000 from the auction.

For obvious reasons, the winner’s name will be kept confidential; whomever it was, they had at least a million bucks laying around.

Diana reportedly drove the car alone when she needed to conduct errands and go into town.
