The Game of Thrones (GOT) spin-off currently airing on HBO Max, House of the Dragon, has already been renewed for a 2nd season after just one episode.
HBO announced the renewal after a stunning premiere episode which shattered streaming records.
“We are beyond proud of what the entire House of the Dragon team has accomplished with season one,” Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming, said in a statement.

“Our phenomenal cast and crew undertook a massive challenge and exceeded all expectations, delivering a show that has already established itself as must-see-TV. House of the Dragon is a prequel of Game of Thrones, set in the same world of Westeros created by George R.R. Martin.
GOT became a generational success that made HBO ungodly profits for a decade.
Per the start House of the Dragon has had, it might just be another cash cow!
