Vanessa Bryant has won her lawsuit against Los Angeles County after a jury of ten decided she had suffered severe emotional trauma.
The jury decided she had suffered and would continue to suffer severe emotional distress from the death scene photos.

The photos, she fears, will someday surface publicly, forming the basis of her lawsuit, awarding Vanessa $16 million.
Furthermore, Vanessa sobbed as the decision was given out, gazing at the polled jurors one by one in satisfaction.
The verdict was against the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department after its deputies took crash photos and shared them with friends, family, and even strangers at a bar.
Consequently, the images in question were later shown at a gathering with fire authorities.
Lawyers for the county maintained that there was no reason to be concerned about photos leaking.
The lawyers claimed the photographs had never surfaced and further deleted from the cell phones involved in the incident.
During closing arguments, Bryant’s lawyer did not ask for a specific amount but asked the jury to award what was right.
The trial lasted two weeks and was at times laden with graphic descriptions.
Vanessa cried and periodically left the courtroom.
Unfortunately, along with five other people, Kobe and Gigi Bryant were killed in the January 26, 2020 collision.
