Bawumia Vindicated as School Mates Confirm Him as A Member of The Methodist Boys’ Brigade Following Uproar

Veep Bawumia caused a brief stir a few days ago over a recent comment that he was part of the Methodist Boys’ Brigade.

Fortunately for the veep, who has been portrayed as a serial liar, his childhood buddies have confirmed his claim.

Two of the vice president’s primary schoolmates backed him, confirming the vice president’s membership.

“We live in a society where a mother and some children could be Christians and a father and some children could be Muslims. As a young boy at Sakasaka primary school in Tamale, I was a member of the Methodist Boys’ Brigade and I think I probably still hold the record as the only Muslim member of the Boys’ Brigade,” Bawumia said recently.

Following the veep’s statement, there was an uproar on social media.

Ghanaians cast doubts that, as a Muslim, Bawumia was lying as usual.

However, Samuel Kwesi Ankamah and Rajah Ismael claimed to be members of the brigade alongside him.

They insisted that Veep Bawumia was not casting dust in the eyes of the Christian community in order to get future votes.

“I want to confirm that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was a boys’ brigade member,” Ankamah, who is now a retired public servant said.
