Minister of Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has called on Ghanaians to stop blaming Dr Bawumia for Ghana’s economic woes.

According to him, he gets sad whenever he sees people blaming the Veep.

NAPO was speaking on Peace Fm’s Award-winning Morning show Kokrokoo.

According to him, whilst Dr Bawumia is indeed the head of the Economic Management Team, they are a true team and work together.

Prempeh said that means no one member is truly responsible for the performance of the economy.

“I get sad when people blame Vice President Bawumia because that’s the only Committee that’s called a team,” NAPO said.

“When you go to Cabinet, we have Social and Infrastructure Committee and others but when we reached the economy, we say Economic Management Team. So, we appointed experts on the team,” he added.

The former Education Minister called for more Ghanaians to have faith that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government would surely deliver.

.Opining further, Opoku Prempeh said the NPP has proven over the years to be the only government which cushions Ghanaians with social intervention programs when in power.

He concluded that the government would eventually take Ghana out of IMF to financial security.

“NPP will take Ghana out from IMF for us to get our relief.” he said.
