GYAKIE has packed six great songs on her just-released EP titled My Diary and I must say every track is a jam.
The talented Ghanaian singer had only one feature on the Extended Play with Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Davido.
Speaking to her fans at the exclusive listening of the EP yesterday, Gyakie described her work with Davido as a dream she didn’t expect to manifest soon.

“This is huge for me because we all know he(Davido) is an African Superstar and I didn’t expect this to happen right now.”
“Looking at how far everything has been for me and having Davido on my EP is a big deal for me.”
According to her, the song titled Flames was a last-minute add-on to the EP because Davido insisted on doing a verse on it after hearing it play for the first time.

“Flames was not on the project. The project just had five songs with no collaboration but when we played a lot of the songs he liked this particular one and he jumped on it”.
GYAKIE revealed that she left the recording studio to go lock herself in the washroom just to cry because she found not believe Davido was singing her song.
“They were looking for me at the studio but couldn’t find me because I had locked myself in the washroom and was crying. I could not believe Davido was in the studio recording a verse on my song,” she said.
My Dairy EP is a 6-track Extended Play that was released on Friday, July 22, 2022. It is Gyakie’s Second project after her first EP dubbed Seed.
