According to events prior to John Boadu’s loss, the likes of Kennedy Agyapong predicted a heavy loss for him.
John had apparently become unpopular among the party faithful because he had lost touch with the grassroots members.
Kennedy’s biggest worry was that the party’s executives were never present at the National Head Office.
According to him, that erroneous action spells doom for the party in the years to come.
He further explained in an interview that the apparent misbehaviour of party executives communicates the wrong message.
If grassroots people are always absent from the party’s headquarters, the party, in his opinion, is not prepared to hear their complaints.
For these and other reasons, Kennedy gave his blessings to party delegates to vote out such executives.
Now, some party supporters, including Kennedy Agyapong, feel justified in the wake of last Saturday’s elections.
Meanwhile, Maurice Ampaw was not amused when he discovered the likes of Kennedy were celebrating John Boadu’s loss.
