Zylofon FM has a new owner. Embattled Ghanaian businessman Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1 has sold the radio station to a popular prophet in the country.
The information available to us suggests that prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, the founder and senior pastor of Believers Worship Centre (BWC), has purchased the frequency Zylofon Radio was broadcasting on and has added it to his chain of broadcasting networks.
Zylofon FM is now Second Chance Radio and is being broadcasted on the same frequency 102.1MHZ.
All programs have seized airing and old workers of the station are not at their usual posts on a busy Monday morning as a new flyer confirming the change of name has begun making the rounds on social media.
No records have been released to explain why the station was sold but social media users have done the maths and concluded that Nam1 is broke and selling his properties to survive.
Zylofon FM was bound to be sold. Some months ago, half of their workers resigned because the station had not paid their salary for over 9 months.
This happened after NAM1 was arrested and charged with fraud after the collapse of Menzgold– a case that is still in court.
