AB Crentsil, one of Ghana’s legendary highlife musicians, has been reported dead early this morning.
The sad news which has left many music lovers in despair reportedly occurred on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

News of his death was confirmed by a renowned Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ BIBINI on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter without further details.
Alfred Benjamin Crentsil gains global recognition in the music industry as AB Crentsil. He was born in the year, 1943 and is considered one of the “big three” contemporary Ghanaian vocalists.
Songs released by the celebrated musician include, I Go Pay You Tomorrow, Papa Samo, Moses, Juliana, Atia, Angelina, Ayen, Devil, Adwoa, Adam & Eve, and many others.
He has won numerous Ghanaian music awards throughout his career which spans over 3 decades, including the Fontomfrom Evergreen Award, a special honor bestowed upon a musician with 15–20 years of continuous music experience.
