A 20-year-old first year student at the Asesewa Senior High School in the Eastern region has reportedly died in a motorbike accident while returning from a nightclub, reports say.
The reports added that the deceased, Florence Batsa, was heading home on a motorbike with her female friend and the motor rider from Memorial nightclub in Somanya at about 2:00 am when the accident occurred.
The motor was involved in a head/on collision with an oncoming vehicle which suddenly veered off to their lane, Patrick Tetteh Lawer, who was the motor rider told the press.
According to him, all attempts to swerve the accident proved futile and Florence died on the spot while he and the other pillion rider sustained series of injuries.
Headmaster of Asesewa Senior High School in the Eastern region, Paul Okoto confirmed the incident saying the deceased was a first-year student who was on vacation and added that the family came to the school on Wednesday to officially inform management about her death.

Uncle of the deceased also revealed that Florence wi be buried on Friday.
Currently, the injured are on admission at St Martin’s De Porres Hospital in Argomanya while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the same facility.
