Balenciaga’s Haute Couture show took place in Paris on Wednesday 6th July 2022 with some notable personalities in attendance.
The event marked the second for the Georgian fashion designer and creative director of Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia.
North West, the nine year old daughter of American socialite and media personality Kim Kardashian, made her debut at the occasion. Wearing a streetwear black dress with her sunglasses, North West took the front sit in the company of Kris Jenner.
Kim Kardashian made her runway modelling debut at the show.
Dua Lipa and Nicole Kidman also appeared.
Aside the display of glamorous fashion and great designs at the event, the presence of the Kim k made headlines on the day.
Demna showed collections of bodysuits, ballgowns and several designs on the day at to some people, this year’s version is the best so far.
Balenciaga is a luxury fashion house founded in 1919 by Cristobal Balenciaga in Spain and later acquired by French luxury group Kering.
The brand has a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was called “the master of us all” by Cristian Dior. Balenciaga closed in 1972 and was reopened under new ownership in 1986.
Owned by Kering, Balenciaga headquarters are based in Paris. The brand is known for producing quality bags, sneakers and attires for both males and females.
