As spotted in a viral video across social media, the educated paramount chief shared cash among school-going children.
According to netizens, the paramount chief goofed because school-going children do not need money but educational materials.
An African proverb reads, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
Consequently, netizens have questioned Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II’s motives for sharing the GHC 20 notes.
A school of thought argues that the paramount chief’s act could corrupt the schoolchildren.
The resulting event could influence them to start stealing from their parents as they need to continue funding what they will do with the money lurks.
Many children never receive GHC 20 to fund their school activities.
