As the podcast progressed, Sarkodie remarked that he is aware of the perception out there, labeling him as a stingy person.

MacG, in response, smirked in disbelief as Sarkodie advanced the conversation to explain why that is.

“As a person, I just feel like.. how I am as Michael doesn’t go with the job I took… ‘cause the job I took is showbiz, and these are things I have to do.”

Fitted in his look of sunglasses covering his eyes, Sarkodie went all out to debunk the notion that he doesn’t share.

“It seems like you’re lying, and I can’t do that. And I think Africans..I won’t say Ghana ‘cause Africans love that when you know, people come and throw money..those are the people they like even when they have bad intentions you still like them. And then you end up being in trouble.”

He switched back to his home country, Ghana, where bulks of fans and rivals generally label him the stingiest of artistes.

“So, in Ghana, I hate when they have the camera on me, and I have to like…give money to people. My meaning of that is I don’t respect you. That’s how I see it. So, if I have money for you and I really wanna give you money, there is a way that I have to do it.”
