Melissa Viviane Jefferson aka Lizzo released a song on Friday, 10th June captioned, ‘Grrrls’ but it turned out to be brutally criticized.

Disability advocates were sorely disappointed for using the ‘s-word’ in her song. They scolded her to remove it from the song.

Many people believe that there are many other options but wondered why she chose that word. The internet was set ablaze with several criticisms directed toward Lizzo.

Some people even think she should be canceled from the system and others suggest, she should be educated instead.

“Pls change your new song to take out the ableist slur. It is not too late to humbly listen and remove a word that is derogatory and harmful and painful. There is no feminism that excludes disabled folks so pls,” says Mich in a tweet.

Hannah Diviney, a writer and disability advocate in Sydney added: “I don’t want to cause any harm and I don’t want to cancel her, as is the common reaction on the internet.”

Many people are disappointed in Lizzo and request that she re-work the song and upload it. They believe it is possible because we have the instance of Michael Jackson re-recording his single ‘They Don’t Care About Us’ to remove an anti-Jewish slur and also, Lady Gaga erased and changed R Kelly from her song ‘DO What U Want’ after his s*x trafficking crimes.

The critics believe the Grammy-winning singer will listen to them and do the right thing because she has really let herself down.
