Sir John’s Nephew Michael Owusu To Lose Inherited Properties As Special Prosecutor Freezes Sir John’s Assets

The office of the Special Prosecutor has frozen the assets of the late NPP politician, Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John.

Their decision to freeze Sir John’s assets is to help the outfit investigate Sir John’s will which includes state properties.

Sir John’s contains acres of land at the Achimota Forest Reserve and part of the Sakumono Ramsar site – all state properties.

Late politician, Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, aka Sir John’s will popped up online recently in an exposé by The Fourth Estate portal.

The late politician left behind uncountable houses, several cars, businesses and acres of land and handed it over to some family members.

He also left behind millions of Ghana cedis in some disclosed accounts which he stated should be used to cover his funeral debt and the rest shared among his children.

One of his nephews, Michael Owusu became popular after the viral will because he inherited about 70 percent of Sir John’s properties.

But as it stands now, all those beneficiaries would have to hold on enjoying their inherited properties.
