Her Husband Lobbied For Her – Social Media Reacts As National Security Makes Empress Gifty Ambassador of Anti Terrorism Campaign

The Ministry of National Security has appointed Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty Adorye as a brand ambassador for its terrorism awareness campaign.

Her appointment comes after the ministry launched a campaign to sensitize Ghanaians about terrorism and encourage them to report suspicious activities in their neighborhood.

The new campaign, dubbed ‘If You See Something, Say Something,’ is to prevent terrorism from festering.

A toll-free number, 999, a security agency number and social media handles have also been made available for people to give out such information that will help prevent terrorism.

Empress Gifty took to her social media pages to express gratitude to the ministry for appointing her as one of the Ambassadors to propagate the message from the ministry.

She called on everyone speak when they see something, noting that ‘See Something, Say something’ is every Ghanaian responsibility to safeguard the security of one’s community.

Some social media users have opined that Empress Gifty’s Ambassadorial appointment was heavily influenced by her politician husband.

Her fans shot down that argument and raised that she is gospel musician and has influence on the public hemc she deserves the appointment.
