The late former CEO of the Forestry Commission and former NPP General Secretary was secretly a millionaire!!

He owns thousands of properties including land, several cars, uncountables houses, a number of businesses including fuel tanker businesses with more than 10 petrol tankers, plantations, and gold investment.

In sharing of Sir John’s properties, one of his nephews, Michael Owusu Afriyie has become popular due to the number of properties he has been given.

He has inherited more than half of Sir John’s lifetime investments, even more than any of his children.

Here is the list of properties given to Sir John’s nephew Michael Owusu Afriyie.

1. He gets 1.541 acres of land at Achimota Forest.

2. A land of 0.987 acres is shared between nephews Michael Owusu, Kwabena Amoateng and Yaw Boadu forever

3. A house located at Adjiringanor has been given to him.

4. Micheal Owusu Afriyie is also supposed to share another 6 bedroom house at Ogbojo with two other nephews of Sir John; Kwabena Amoateng and Yaw Boadu

5. A four-bedroom house with adjoining boys quarters and security post at Sakora Wonoo in Kwabre, Ashanti Region to be shared by Michael Owusu and other nephews, Kwabena Amoateng and Yaw Boadu.

6. Five bedroom house at Sokoban in Kumasi, with a bedroom each to his four sisters and the master bedroom and living room to Michael Owusu.

7. Michael Owusu again inherited 2 of 3 bedroom apartments on the 3rd flood of 10 bedroom apartments in East Legon plus other two of the 2 bedroom apartment from the same building

8. Micheal Owusu and another nephew Kwabena Amoateng are given ownership of Sir John’s hospital, ‘Afriyie Memorial Hospital‘ in Sakora Wonoo in the Kabre District of the Ashanti Region forever.

9. He is given 2 plots of land in Ahenema Kokoben in the Ashanti Region

10. He gets another plot of land at Millennium City State near Kasoa.

13. Sir John as well bequeathed his fuel tanker business with 10 petrol tanker vehicles to Michael Owusu plus a teak plantation at Nkawie

15. Nissan Titan Pickup V8, a Mercedes Benz

16. 4 pump-action guns

Lastly, Micheal Owusu is supposed to share gold investment quantified into cash with 5 children of Sir John.
