The beautiful story of the honest taxi driver who returned 8,400 Cedis to a fishmonger seems to have inspired many Ghanaians.
Following that story, many have publicly shown their appreciation by giving gifts to the taxi driver.

Barely a week after the story broke, the vice president of Ghana gifted the driver a cash prize for his honesty.
Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has also presented a new car to the driver to show him how good deeds can change lives.
More presents are allegedly being heaped on the cab driver, but that is a subject for another editorial.
In a new development, another inspiring story of a washing bay attendant has been praised heavily for a similar act.
According to the reports received so far, the taxi driver found a whopping sum of $4000 and GHS25,000, respectively.
What the attendant did next has surprised so many that they have showered praise on him for his selfless act.
See the photo of the washing bay attendant below.
The norm that these selfless acts are becoming is a good example for a country like Ghana as we still fight corruption.
It is an indication that Ghanaians are capable of doing good, and this can be extended into our body of politics.
