Fishmonger Gifts Taxi Driver Two Free ‘Opoku’ Fish after Returning Ghc 8,400 She Left in his Taxi

The Mallam Atta fish seller who emotionally broke down in tears after an honest taxi driver returned the whopping amount of Ghc 8,400 she left in his car has gifted him with some fish.

The fishmonger gifted Isaac Ackon, the taxi driver, with two large Opoku fish, as well as Ghc 500 to use for fuel.

Veteran Ghanaian journalist Abeiku Aggrey Santana announced the lady’s donation on radio.

The taxi driver’s actions went viral earlier this week.

He picked up the fishmonger for a dropping and she mistakenly left her tied cloth filled with Ghc 8,400 in sales proceeds in the car.

Whilst many would have taken that money, this taxi driver in particular went back to the woman’s house and returned her money to her.

Video of the moment went viral as the fishmonger broke down in tears of gratitude and relief.

They revealed that she was beside herself over losing the money.

The video has brought massive fortune to the taxi driver, who has now received multiple donations in reward for his honesty.

The Vice President, Dr Bawumia, has given him Ghc 20,000 whilst VGMA Artiste of the year KiDi has also added Ghc 5,000.

The fishmonger did her part, adding some fish and Ghc 500.
