Koforidua came alive yesterday at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Experience Concert.
VGMA nominees Jam made a grand return to Eastern Region’s capital Koforidua after 9 years and they met a reception of life.
The show started with performances from budding talents from Eastern Region including Tee Rhyme, and a list of stars, hosted by King Kwaku Mensa.
Then it continued with an official opening performance from gospel musician Akesse Brimpong who paved the way for artists on the unsung category of the awards to perform.
Rapper Amerado came with Ninja’s and shook the stage.
The atmosphere at the Jubilee park changed when they main acts, Fameye, Kelvynboy, Samini, Joyce Blessing, Dopenation, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Dope Nation took turns to perform.
Afrobeat badman, Kelvyn Boy, made sure he left a mark yesterday in Koforidua with his massive performance.
The crowd went crazy when his hit song ‘Down Flat’ was played. They sang word to word and even tried to do the dance despite how crowded they were.
Samini proved to the country once again that he holds the forefront when it comes to live band performance.
