Ghanaian Woman in the USA Stabbed to Death – Allegedly By her Own Brother – Details

A Ghanaian woman in Evanston, a town in the United States of America, has been stabbed to death, allegedly by her own brother.

Karen Aphour, a Ghanaian woman who relocated to Illinois in the U.S, met her untimely death after being stabbed.

Karen was stabbed multiple times by an assailant at her home in Evanston on Saturday, April 16th 2022.

Police arrived at 100 block of Callan Avenue around 9:20 pm Saturday in response to a 911 call.

Police found Karen with multiple stab wounds and transported her to a nearby hospital where she was unfortunately pronounced dead.

Karen was allegedly stabbed by her brother, who is currently in police custody.

Authorities, however, refuse to name the suspect in custody.

Who is Karen Aphour?

Karen Aphour, also known as Lamisi Ayinpoka, was a 30-year old Ghanaian living in Evanston, Illinois in the United States.

She had her tertiary education at the University of Ghana, Legon, before relocating to the U.S.

Karen worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Ghana before her big U.S move.

She was stabbed and killed on the 16th of April in Evanston.

Karen was allegedly killed by her brother, although authorities are yet to confirm or deny that piece of speculation.
