Good Friday 2022 would be remembered for a long time to come as arguably the largest ensemble cast ever put together for a movie in Ghana turned up for the Red Carpet premiere.
Red Carpet is the name of a movie by the production company of Jackie Appiah’s manager Samira Yakubu, directed by legendary director Frank Rajah and starring the creme de la creme of Ghanaian cinema.
The cast list reads like a Ghallywood addict’s dream – Jackie Appiah, Adjetey Annan, Kalsoume Sinare, Christabel Ekeh, Juliet Ibrahim, Selly Galley, Beverly Afaglo, Roselyn Ngissah, Salma Mumin, Oscar Provencal, Grace Omaboe – the list goes on and on.
You get the idea – the movie is going to be arguably the biggest ever in Ghanaian history.
The historic movie was launched Friday, April 15th 2022 at the Accra Marriot Hotel.
Many of the stars of the show turned up for the exclusive event, which contained a sneak peek for the gathered media personnel.
Lead star Jackie Appiah was at the premiere, as was Juliet Ibrahim, Adjetey Annan, Oscar Provencal, Roselyn Ngissah and others.
Freedom Jacob Casear and Abeiku Santana, who has a cameo in the movie, were also on hand to support.
Red Carpet premieres on the 1st of May 2022 at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall and West Hill Malls.
Additional screenings in Accra will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of May
Red Carpet premieres in Kumasi at the Golden Eagle Cinemas, Kumasi City Mall on May 2nd.
The movie gives an unfiltered behind the scenes look of the movie industry that we never get to see as the viewing public.
