MI Abaga, a prolific Nigerian rapper, has stepped on the toes of many Nigerians after revealing plans to win a Grammy with his yet-to-be-released album.

MI talked about his next album, which he believes was so good that it might secure him a Grammy in a post he shared via his twitter page.

He is probably done with the album and was moved to making the above statement upon listening to the production.

MI wrote: “And now that that is all over… music coming soon. Now I can focus so I release this album properly.. because it is a classic. Might win a Grammy.. I appreciate your patience”

The good news from the Nigerian veteran rapper MI Abaga was taken out of context and stirred up mixed reactions online from his own people.

Some Nigerians who are still angry that Wizkid and Burna Boy failed to win a Grammy Award at the 64th Academy Awards jumped on the neck of MI.

They argued that MI is the wrong person to save Nigeria if Wizkid and Burna Boy didn’t win Grammys despite being nominated in two categories.
