Ghanaian gospel musician Jacklin Sarfo Gyamfua, also known as Ohemaa Jacky, is said to have fled the country while on trial.
She was arrested by the International Police (INTERPOL) in Cotonou, Benin, for defrauding by false pretences.
She was arrested in the neighbouring West African country when INTERPOL Accra sent a signal for her arrest.
She was found to be in possession of a suspected fake Italian passport.

On February 16, 2022, Ohemaa Jacky and her husband, Emmanuel Peprah, are said to have been arrested while attempting to travel from Cotonou to London via Paris.
According to new reports, the Ghanaian couple were brought before a court in Cotonou and remanded.
In Ghana, Ohemaa Jacky is known to already be on trial for allegedly defrauding a trader of 150,000 Ghanaian Cedis.
She executed this fraudulent act under the pretext of securing for her an Italian passport and a resident identity card.
According to the Prosecution, the “Hakuna Matata” singer, who additionally doubles as a blogger, also allegedly forged two Italian passports for the trader and her infant daughter.
The musician, who was charged with defrauding by false pretences, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the amount of 200,000 Ghanaian Cedis.
