Local champion of all local champions, Shatta Wale was heavily trolled by fans after Davido’s spectacular performance in Qatar.
Nigerian superstar Davido performed at the draw for the 2022 Fifa World Cup held in Qatar, on Friday.
Davido performed the official World Cup Song, Hayya Hayya (Better Together) alongside Qatari singer Aisha and America’s Trinidad Cardona.
The Nigerian’s performance was heavily praised by Fifa and all Africans online.

Davido’s massive World Cup achievement threw a spotlight on our own ineffectual local champion artistes.
Fans trolled loudmouth Shatta Wale in particular, who runs his mouth as if he’s Beyonce but cannot even match the Nigerian artistes he insults.
Blogger thosecalledcelebs started the familiar refrain of jabbing Wale.
“Davido is singing for the whole world cup ooo but our own local stars are sleeping in their fish pond by this time searching for another musician to fight and trend for 3 days,” she wrote.
Wale insulting Nigerian artistes a few months back has just spectacularly backfired.

Wizkid, Davido and Burna continue to win following his insult whilst his career remains stuck.
