Village Girls, Take the Rubber off the Car Seat – Empress Gifty Exposes Diamond and Tracey Over Fake ‘Tear-Rubber’ Cars

Empress Gifty has slammed village girls Tracey Boakye and Diamond Appiah over their obsession with putting rubbers over their car seats to look brand new.

When it comes to stupid status symbols among Ghanaian celebrities, the ‘tear-rubber’ car is very high on the list.

Tear-rubber, literally meaning the seat coverings are still on the car, is how they prove they actually bought a brand new car and not 2nd hand.

As with most things involving Ghanaian celebrities, never believe what you see.

According to Empress Gifty, she has discovered many celebrities now buy rubber from the market and drape it over their car seats.

She called out those villagers to stop doing that.

Coincidentally (or not), we just saw that from Diamond Appiah and Tracey this weekend as they travelled from Accra to Kumasi for Afia’s father’s funeral.

You might have seen some videos of them travelling, which shows Diamond sitting in one of the cars with seats covered in rubber.

Do they mean they can’t take off the rubber before travelling? Tells you it’s intentionally there for clout.

Empress has called on those village girls to stop that village life.
