AMG Medikal has been fined Ghc 3,600 by an Accra Circuit Court for brandishing a gun in public.
Medikal received the sentence after pleading guilty on Monday, February 21st 2021 when the case was recalled.
Having initially pleaded ‘not guilty’, hard guy Medikal became a fearo in the courtroom and changed his plea to guilty.
He was convicted on his own plea and fined Ghc 3,600 by trial judge Emmanuel Essandoh.
Failure to pay the fine would lead to a nine month sentence in prison.
Medikal was arrested in October last year for brandishing a gun on social media.
He initially spent some days behind bars alongside Shatta Wale, who was also wanted at the time for causing fear and panic by faking his own death.
The two initially pleaded not guilty and were remanded into custody for a few days before securing bail.
Upon their release, they came out to engage in more troublesome activities and even dared the IGP to arrest them again.
They went as far as to release a single, ‘Stubborn Academy’, to prove their ‘hard guy’ credentials.
However, Medikal turned into a huge fearo in court despite his public persona.
He pleaded guilty, received a fine for his misdemeanour and now gets to be a free man upon payment of the fine.
His lawyer could have spared him all the trouble he went through but ‘hard guy’ enti, he had to suffer for nothing!
