Actor John Dumelo has been taken on by netizens after proposing a seemingly out of touch way for the youth to make money.
According to the actor, politician and farmer, young people should save Ghc 1,000 every month in a sort of cummulative susu scheme to help them raise capital.
In a tweet which has generated numerous reactions, Dumelo said ten friends can come together and pay in Ghc 1,000 every month to be given to one friend.
This goes on and on and until every friend has received a lump sum of Ghc 9,000 per month.

“Get 10 of your friends. Contribute 1000gh each month. Each month, one person will collect 9,000. It’s a good form of savings( for those who receive last) and loans( for those who receive first). You can increase or decrease the capital though.” Dumelo wrote.
Seeing as he was directing his message to his youthful followers, Dumelo’s use of Ghc 1,000 a month is outright delusional or even insulting.
It’s like the man doesn’t know the mean income in the country!
His followers made sure to remind him and came for his head.
Others also said the idea is plain stupid or would not work because Ghanaians are generally not honest.
