Ghanaian Elikem Kuenyehi Appointed Professor at Buckingham University – Becomes First African to Hold the Post

A Ghanaian professor, Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehi, has been appointed as a professor of Practice at the University of Buckingham.

Professor Kuenyehi is the first African to be appointed to a professorsip at the University.

The United Kingdom based facility appointed the Ghanaian as Professor of Practice to its Faculty of Business, Humanities and Social Science.

“I’m humbled to be associated with a University of such calibre and international standing,” he said in reaction to his appointment.

Professor Kuenyehia has over 20 years of experience in corporate law and entrepreneurship.

He is most known for starting the law firm Oxford & Beaumont with only $5,000 in 2006, before leaving the firm in 2020.

He now serves as Chairman and Partner of Keystone Solicitors, described as a new generation of African law, aimed at providing a compelling alternative to traditional law firms.

The University of Buckingham is the alma mater of Ghana’s accomplished Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The current Veep obtained a first class degree in economics from the University in 1987.
