A Ghanaian policewoman has shockingly been killed in a violent attack in Bawku.
Her death has caused a stir on social media with netizens shedding tears over such a beautiful life cut short.
The police officer has been identified as Constable Regina Dede Angenu stationed at Paga. She was only 27 years old.
According to reports, she visited a friend in Bawku and ended up being shot to death by unknown gunmen in the latest incident of violent clashes in the area.
She was a cousin of Former Deputy Transport Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, who made news of her sad passing public.
He said: “2022 January has not been good for me. On my return from Takoradi around 10 pm I got a call from my head of the family that one of my sisters who I helped join the police service had been shot dead,”
“That is the daughter of my aunt. She was a pillion rider and was shot. Her mother was buried not long ago, she was going to take her clothes from a seamstress,” the former Tema East MP added.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the attack occurred around 4:00 pm Sunday in Daduri, a suburb of Bawku.
Two people were killed including the young police officer, with several others injured.

The injured are at the Tamale Teaching Hospital for treatment whilst police investigations continue.
