Beenie Man Arrested By National Security

Iconic Jamaican dancehall artiste Beenie Man has been arrested in Ghana by the National Security, reports say.

Beenie Man, real name Anthony Moses Davis, was reportedly arrested for breaking COVID-19 protocols in the country.

Sources say the artiste who was billed to perform at Stonebwoy’s BHIM concert tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Ghana on 19th December, 2021, and was quarantined.

He was however seen out of his quarantine zone and going round granting interviews and mingling with people ahead of Stonebwoy’s Bhim Concert.

According to reports, Beenie Man is alleged to have used a fake clearance certificate from the Ghana Health Service to enter the country in other to skip the processes.

The above allegation has become a subject of investigations by Ghanaian security officials.

He was as such arrested for breaking the COVID-19 Protocols and putting many innocent Ghanaians he came into contact with at risk.

Beenie Man performed to thousands of patrons and shared the stage alongside other high profile artistes from Ghana including Samini, Kwaw Kese, MzVee and Empress Gifty at the show which was held on 21st December 2021 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
