You Just Gave A Cat Free Access To Fish – Ghanaians React as Akufo-Addo Appoints Obour As Managing Director For Ghana Post

A section of Ghanaians are not pleased President Akufo-Addo has appointed Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour as the Managing Director of the Ghana Post Company Limited.

Reports surfaced earlier today that the former Musiga president and parliamentary aspirant was named as the new managing director for Ghana Post.

As part of his duties, according to reports, Obour is expected to see to the expansion of Ghana post’s network and improve services in areas in the country that are not reachable.

Obour will be working hand in hand with the management of Ghana Post Company Limited as well as the government to improve mail security and to promote all postal products to create awareness of their existence.

Although he has been named as the Managing Director, Bice Osei Kuffour will be occupying the position as an acting director till he meets the company’s Act and regulations.

Many have taken to social media to opine that the government just handed a cat (Obour) the keys to a store full of fish.

They held the opinion that Bice Osei Kuffour was not a good example of a leader when he was president of Musiga and so should not occupy such a high position.

The former Musiga president has been widely accused of not being transparent when he was the boss of the musicians union.

Prior to his appointment as Ghana Post Managing director, Obour served as the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana where he successfully energized the Union.

He has served on several other boards and has been an advocate for several other campaigns including the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA).

Obour contested for the NPP primaries elections in the Asante Akyem South constituency as a parliamentary candidate in 2020 but unfortunately lost to a 64 vote difference.
