Celebrated Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah decided to celebrate her birthday with a less privileged community in the Northern Region of Ghana.
It has become a norm for Jackie Appiah to donate every year on her birthday but this time, she took a long trip to the northern part of the country, Tamale to be precise just to put smiles on the faces of some people.
On Sunday, 5th December, 2021, the actress and her team traveled to Northern Region to donate items to the pupils of Kogni MA Primary School in Tamale.
She gave items like school uniforms, stationery, toiletries, and other assorted products.
Not only did Jackie Appiah give out these items worth thousand of Ghana Cedis but she presented a newly constructed borehole to the community to serve them clean drinking water.
Speaking at the commissioning of the borehole, Jackie Appiah said water is life so she came to the aid of the people in Kogni when she was told the community in Tamale lacked such basic amenity.
The borehole, according to residents in the community, came at the right time and was the greatest Christmas present they have received this year.

They thanked the actress and stressed that she has solved one of the biggest problems facing the community, the availability of clean drinking water.
As a sign of appreciation, the community presented Jackie Appiah with 3 Guinea Fowls and tubers of yam from their chief.
