Veteran Ghanaian Actress Nana Ama McBrown is a household name in the Creative Arts Industry. The talented actress has worked her way through the ranks to become the queen of Kumawood, and as it stands, she is the best when it comes to the acting game!
However, most Ghanaians are not aware that the name ‘McBrown’ was adopted.
Born Felicity Ama Owusua Agyemang, Nana Ama at a point in her life had to change her name to McBrown.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana, McBrown’s mother, known as Aunty Cece revealed that the actress had to change her name because her uncle wanted to her fly to America and had to adopt her.
Although she failed to add whether McBrown was able to make it to the U.S to be with her uncle or not, one thing stands, her adopted name remained.
On why Nana Ama MmcBrown looks almost like a half cast, her mother declined to delve into that. She noted that would be discussed another day.
Another revelation McBrown’s mother made is that all her 3 children were raised by her sister in Ghana because she had travelled at the time.
But unfortunately, the person who sacrificed her time to raise McBrown and her siblings has passed!
