The foundation de Loterie nationale de Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI foundation) has donated a whopping amount of 30,000,000 CFA ($60,000) to the Good Causes Foundation of the National Lottery Authority.
The LONACI foundation serves as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the Ivorian lotto regulatory body.
Madam Traore Epse Diabate of the LONACI foundation made the presentation of the amount to Sammi Awuku, the Director-General of the NLA, at its offices in Accra on Friday, November 19th 2021, Ghanafeed.com reports.
The presentation followed a pledge made by Head of Loterie nationale de Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI), Dramane Coulibaly, during the official launch of Caritas by the NLA on October 20, 2021.
Receiving the amount, Sammi Awuku expressed gratitude to LONACI for their tremendous support to the NLA since he assumed office.
He also thanked them for being conscientious in redeeming their pledge.
The NLA boss directed the management of the Good Causes Foundation to visit their counterparts at Foundation LONACI in Cote d’Ivoire and familiarise themselves with their operations.
Mr Awuku himself had earlier paid a working visit to his counterparts at LONACI to build a working relationship.
Launched in October last year, the Good Causes Foundation has already made significant strides, having already settled the medical bills of a number of people.
The foundation also supported Ghana’s representative at the Maiden Edition of the CAF Women Champions league, Hasaacas ladies with some cash, while also providing support for Children of some Lotto Writers and other Individuals.
Present at the ceremony were; Mr. Ernest Motey, Director of Finance, Madam Ama Frimpomaa – Deputy Coordinator – Good Causes Foundation, Mr. David Nkansah Anto, Manager – Good Causes foundation, Ms. Judith Kormle, Head of Corporate Affairs Department, among others.
