Sweet Freedom – Medikal, Shatta Wale Released On Ghc 100,000 Bail

Incarcerated Ghanaian musicians Medikal and Shatta Wale have both been granted bail.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, aka Shatta Wale, and Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal, were both arrested last week after breaking the law.

They were remanded into police custody, sparking outcry as their fans fought for their release.

The day fans of the Shatta Movement and AMG Business have been waiting for is here.

Wale and AMG Medikal, who were both on remand, appeared before the Accra Circuit Court hearing their case today.

Their counsels submitted bail applications and they were both agreed to by the trial judge.

Wale and MDK have each been released on Ghc 100,000 bail.

Shatta Wale is facing charges of publication of false news and causing fear and panic after faking a gun attack on himself.

Medikal, on the other hand, faces charges of unlawful display of arms and ammunition for brandishing a weapon on social media.

Shatta Wale and Medikal both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In related news, Wale’s SM minions who helped him fake his attack, Nana Dope, Gangee and Deportee, have also been released on bail and fined Ghc 100,000 for abetment of crime.
